Description Figurehead of HMS 'Himalaya', representing an Indian warrior in a turban drawing a sword. 'Himalaya' was an iron screw troopship of 3553 tons built for P & O in 1853 at Mare and Co's of Blackwall, was purchased by the Admiralty in 1854. In 1895 she became the 'C.60' coal hulk and was sold in 1920 to E. W. Payne. She was sunk during an air raid on Portland Harbour in 1940.
