Description Monochrome print. Technique includes engraving. Mounted with PAD6116-PAD6117. View of HM Brig Trent in a perilous situation in the Spitzbergent Sea on the 7th June 1818. Trent is seen in turbulent waters with sails slack and the hull hung with fenders being driven towards large ice floes in the foreground. The surface of the sea is covered with broken fragments of ice. Three members of the crew are seen working at the rigging with two in the stern and another at the bowsprit pointing at something ahead. In the distance is her sister ship, HM Sloop Dorothea, apparently clear of the ice.
