In each corner the four authorities, on whom the constellations are based, are pictured: Aratus Cilix (Aratus of Soli); Ptolemaeus Aegyptus (Ptolemy); M Mamlius Romanus (Marcus Manilius); Azophi Arabus (al-Sufi).
