Description | This brass objective lens cap is a relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition in search of the North-West Passage, 1845-48. It is thought to have been recovered by the Schwatka expedition of 1878-79 in search of remains of the Franklin expedition, but it is not clear where Schwatka found the item. |
